Uruguayan Cabbage Stew

- β1 1/2 pounds Beef Stew Meat (1.5 lbs)
- β2 Cabbage (2 medium heads)
- β1 Onion (1 large)
- β3 Garlic (3 cloves)
- β2 Tomato Paste (2 tbsp)
- β1 Uruguayan Stew Seasoning (1 tsp)
- β1 Salt (1 tsp)
- β0.5 Black Pepper (1/2 tsp)
- β1 Red Wine (1 cup)

Instructions

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from pot and set aside.

Add onion and garlic to pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add cabbage, tomato paste, stew seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.

Add red wine and bring to a boil.

Return beef to pot and stir to coat with wine mixture.

Cover pot and transfer to oven. Braise for 2 1/2 hours, or until beef is tender.
