Spanish Almond Tarta
A traditional Chilean dessert, this Spanish Almond Tarta is a rich and creamy treat made with ground almonds and infused with the warm spice of nutmeg.
Ingredients
- β1 cup ground almondspeeled and ground
- β1 cup sugar
- β3 large eggs
- β1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- β1/2 teaspoon infusedvanilla extract
- β1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- β1 tarta pan with removable bottom
- β1/4 cup spanish almonds for garnish

Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (180Β°C).

Butter the tarta pan and set aside.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the ground almonds and sugar.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and softened butter.

Add the infused vanilla and ground nutmeg to the egg mixture and whisk until combined.

Add the almond mixture to the egg mixture and mix until well combined.

Pour the mixture into the prepared tarta pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
