Argentinian Beef Asado
A classic Argentinian dish featuring slow-cooked beef in a rich and savory sauce.
Ingredients
- β1.5 kg Beef (Asado Cut)such as flank steak or skirt steak
- β2 tbsp Olive Oil
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- β250ml Chimichurristore-bought or homemade
- β1 cup Rich Beef Broth
- β2 tsp Nutrient-Rich Chimol (Argentinian Herb Mix)
- β2 sausages Chewy Chorizooptional
- β1 tsp Salt
- β1 tsp Black Pepper

Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

Season the beef with salt, black pepper, and Nutrient-Rich Chimol.

Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat.

Sear the beef on both sides until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Transfer the beef to a plate and set aside.

Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the pot and cook for 1 minute.

Add the Rich Beef Broth and Chimichurri to the pot, scraping up any browned bits.

Return the beef to the pot and bring to a simmer.

Reduce heat to low and cook, covered, for 2-3 hours, or until the beef is tender.

If using chorizo, add it to the pot for the last 30 minutes of cooking.
