Korean Pork Dumplings
A delicious and savory dish filled with the flavors of Korea, featuring pork dumplings served with a side of spicy sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 pound PorkGround pork
- β20-24 wrappers Dumpling wrappersAvailable at most Asian grocery stores
- β1 small onion OnionFinely chopped
- β3 cloves GarlicMinced
- β2 inches GingerGrated
- β2 tablespoons Soy sauceLow-sodium
- β1 tablespoon Sesame oilFor pan-frying
- β1/4 teaspoon Salt
- β1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
- β1/4 cup Green onionsFor garnish
- β2 tablespoons Spicy sauce (gochujang)Optional
- β1/4 cup Chopped scallionsFor garnish

In a large pan over medium-high heat, cook the pork until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

Add the onion, garlic, and ginger to the pan and cook until the onion is translucent.

Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper to the pan and stir to combine.

Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the mixture is fragrant.

Wrap the dumpling wrappers around small balls of the pork mixture, making sure to seal the edges.

In a large pot of boiling water, cook the dumplings for 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the surface.

Remove the dumplings from the water with a slotted spoon and serve with a side of spicy sauce (if using).
