Filipino-Style Kare Kare
A traditional Filipino stew made with ground peanuts and vegetables, served with steamed rice. Kare kare is a rich and flavorful dish that is often served during special occasions.
Ingredients

- β2 tablespoons kare kare powder
- β2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1 pound ground beefoptional
- β1 cup vegetablessuch as eggplant, string beans, and bok choy
- β2 cups water

- βto taste black pepper

Heat the oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.

Add the onion and garlic and sautΓ© until the onion is translucent.

Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

Add the kare kare powder and stir to combine.

Add the vegetables and water and bring to a boil.
