Lamb Tagine with Indian Spices
A flavorful and aromatic lamb tagine inspired by Indian cuisine, made with crispy onions and nutty spices.
Ingredients
- ●1.5 lbs lamb shouldercut into 2-inch pieces
- ●1 cup crispy onionschopped
- ●2 tbsp turkish olive oilused for browning lamb
- ●2 tsp nutty coriander powderground spices
- ●1 tsp tagine spice blendground spices
- ●1 tsp brown sugarused for balance of flavors
- ●2 cups chicken brothused for braising lamb
- ●1/4 cup yogurtused for marinating lamb

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Brown lamb pieces on all sides, then set aside.

Add more oil if necessary, then sauté crispy onions until golden brown.

Add coriander powder, tagine spice blend, and brown sugar; stir for 1 minute.

Add lamb back into the pot, then pour in chicken broth.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 1.5 hours or until lamb is tender.
