Slovakian Pork Stew
A hearty and flavorful stew originating from Slovakia, made with tender pork and a selection of root vegetables.
Ingredients
- β1.5 pounds pork shoulder
- β1 pound slovakian sausage
- β2 medium carrots
- β3 medium potatoes
- β1 large onion
- β3 cloves garlic
- β2 cups beef broth
- β1 cup sour cream
Instructions

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Brown the pork shoulder on all sides, then set it aside.

Add the sausage to the pot and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until it is no longer pink.

Add the carrots, potatoes, onion, and garlic to the pot and cook for 5 minutes.

Add the beef broth to the pot and bring to a boil.

Return the pork shoulder to the pot and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 2 hours, or until the pork is tender.

Stir in the sour cream and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
