Pan-Seared Trout with Slovakian Crust
A delicious and healthy fish dish, topped with a crunchy Slovakian crust. Perfect for a quick dinner.
Ingredients
- ●4 trout filletsfresh trout fillets, skin removed
- ●1 cup slovakian wholemeal breadcrumbsstore-bought or homemade
- ●2 tbsp nutty brown sugaradd a hint of nutty flavor
- ●1 tsp flaky sea saltuse flaky sea salt for a delicate flavor
- ●1 rainbow bell peppersthinly sliced, for garnish

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Season the trout fillets with flaky sea salt and a pinch of black pepper.

In a shallow dish, mix together Slovakian wholemeal breadcrumbs, nutty brown sugar, and a pinch of salt.

Dip each trout fillet into the breadcrumb mixture, coating both sides evenly.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1-2 tbsp of oil and sear the trout fillets for 2-3 minutes on each side.

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until cooked through.

Garnish with thinly sliced rainbow bell peppers and serve immediately.
