Barramundi Tagine with Egyptian Spices
A German-inspired take on the traditional Moroccan dish, featuring pan-seared barramundi and a flavorful tagine spice blend.
Ingredients
- β4 Barramundi filletsskin removed
- β2 tsp Tagine spice blendavailable at most middle eastern markets
- β1 tsp Egyptian cinnamonoptional
- β1 cup Fluffy ricecooked according to package instructions
- β1/4 cup Nutty almondssliced
- β2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- β4 Lemon wedges
- β1/4 cup Fresh parsleychopped

Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the barramundi fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

Transfer the fish to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm.

In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp of oil and the tagine spice blend.

Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until fragrant.

Add the sliced almonds and cook for an additional 30 seconds.

Serve the fish over fluffy rice, garnished with chopped parsley and a squeeze of lemon.
