Ukrainian Chicken Pilaf
A hearty, comforting pilaf dish filled with chicken, herbs, and nutty undertones. Perfect for a chilly evening.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Chicken breastBoneless and skinless
- β1 cup PilafUncooked
- β1 medium Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β1 teaspoon Dried thyme
- β1/2 teaspoon Salt
- β1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
- β2 cups Chicken broth
- β2 tablespoons NuttyChopped nuts such as almonds or walnuts

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add chicken and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Add onion and garlic to skillet and cook until onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add pilaf, thyme, salt, and pepper to skillet. Stir to combine.

Add chicken broth to skillet and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
