Irish Pork Stew
A hearty and comforting Irish-style pork stew made with tender pork, root vegetables, and a hint of savory flavor.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds pork shoulder
- β1 medium onion
- β2 medium carrot
- β2 large potato
- β2 stalks celery
- β2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- β2 teaspoons irish stew seasoning
- β1 teaspoon salt
- β1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- β2 cups beef broth

Heat a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the pork and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove the pork from the pot and set aside.

Add the onion, carrot, and celery to the pot and cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.

Add the flour to the pot and cook for 1 minute.

Add the stew seasoning, salt, and pepper to the pot and cook for 1 minute.

Add the broth to the pot and bring to a boil.

Return the pork to the pot and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 2 1/2 hours, or until the pork is tender.
