Tofu Indian Kebabs
A spicy and nutty twist on traditional Indian kebabs, featuring marinated tofu and a blend of aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- β1 block (14 oz) TofuExtra-firm, drained and cut into 1-inch cubes
- β2 tbsp Spicy Indian Spice BlendAvailable at most grocery stores or online
- β1 tsp Garam masalaGround spice blend commonly used in Indian cuisine
- β1 tsp CuminGround, adds warm, earthy flavor
- β1 tsp CorianderGround, adds citrusy, slightly sweet flavor
- β1/2 tsp Cayenne pepperAdd more or less to taste
- β2 tbsp Lime juiceFreshly squeezed, adds brightness and acidity
- β1/4 cup Nutty Peanut oilSubstitute with neutral oil if necessary
- β1/4 cup Fresh cilantroChopped, for garnish
- β1 tsp SaltTo taste

1. In a blender or food processor, combine Spice Blend, cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper, and salt. Blend until smooth.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together lime juice and blended spice mixture.

3. Add tofu cubes to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.

4. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

5. Thread marinated tofu onto skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.

6. Brush grill or grill pan with Peanut oil to prevent sticking.

7. Grill tofu kebabs for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy on the outside.

8. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve immediately.
