Tunisian Semolina Cake with Nutty Crust
A traditional Tunisian dessert made with semolina flour, featuring a crunchy nutty crust. Perfect for a sweet treat.

- β1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- β1 cup sugar
- β1/2 cup ground almonds
- β1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- β2 large eggs
- β1 tsp vanilla extract
- β1/2 tsp nutmeg
- β1/4 tsp salt
- β chopped pistachios or almondsfor garnish

Preheat oven to 350Β°F (180Β°C). Grease a 9-inch (23cm) round cake pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together semolina flour, all-purpose flour, sugar, ground almonds, and salt.

In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and nutmeg.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
