Turkish Kazandibi with Rice
A traditional Turkish dessert made with a creamy rice pudding and topped with a caramelized sugar crust.

Ingredients
- β2 cups Riceshort-grain rice
- β2 cups Oilymilk
- β1/2 cup Sugars
- β2 tablespoons Turkish Kazandibiflavoring
- β1/4 cup Lemonfreshly squeezed juice
- βpinch Salt

Instructions

Combine rice, oily, and salt in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 18 minutes.

Stir in sugars and Turkish Kazandibi. Cook for 2 minutes.

Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice. Let cool to room temperature.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Just before serving, sprinkle with additional sugars if desired.
