Croatian Noir Noir Dumplings
A hearty and savory dish that combines the best of Croatian and noir cuisine. These dumplings are a perfect comfort food.
Ingredients
- β1 loaf, cubed Croatian black breadpreferably day-old bread
- β1 cup, crumbled Noir cheesestrong and pungent
- β1 package Dum pastry doughhomemade or store-bought
- β1/4 cup, chopped Fresh parsleyfor garnish
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
- β2 tablespoons Butter
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine cubed bread, crumbled noir cheese, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper.

Roll out dum pastry dough to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.

Cut out circles of dough, about 3 inches in diameter.

Place a tablespoon or two of the bread mixture onto the center of each dough circle.

Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape, and press the edges together to seal.

Place the dumplings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Dot the top of each dumpling with a little butter.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
