Bun Rieu Recipe
A hearty Vietnamese noodle soup made with pork and a flavorful broth.
Ingredients
- β1 pound PorkGround pork
- β8 ounces Bun Rieu BunSquare egg noodles
- β4 cups Dense Vietnamese Pork StockHomemade or store-bought
- β1 cup Rieu SauceMade with fish sauce, lime juice, and chili sauce
- β1 medium OnionChopped
- β3 cloves GarlicMinced
- β1 cup Pork RindsCrushed
- β1/4 cup Vietnamese HerbsChopped cilantro, basil, and mint

1. Cook the pork in a pan until browned, breaking it up into small pieces.

2. Add the onion and garlic to the pan and cook until the onion is translucent.

3. Add the pork rinds and cook for 1 minute.

4. Add the Vietnamese herbs and cook for 30 seconds.

5. Add the bun rieu bun to the pot and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until it is slightly softened.

6. Add the rieu sauce to the pot and stir to combine.

7. Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer.

8. Let the soup simmer for 10-15 minutes.

9. Season the soup with salt and pepper to taste.
