Pistachio Dumplings with Sweet Filling
A traditional dessert from the Middle East, these sweet dumplings are wrapped in a crispy pistachio crust and served with a warm sweet syrup.
Ingredients
- β1 package dumplingsusually 10-12 pieces
- β1 cup pistachio mealyou can make your own by grinding pistachios in a food processor
- β1/2 cup sugaryou can adjust the amount according to your taste
- β1/4 cup flourall-purpose flour
- β2 tablespoons melted butterunsalted butter
- β1 cup sweet syrupyou can make your own by boiling sugar and water
- β1/4 teaspoon oze oiloptional, for frying

Heat the oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.

Add the dumplings and fry until golden brown on both sides.

In a separate pan, heat the sweet syrup over low heat.

Add the sugar and stir until dissolved.

Add the pistachio meal and stir until combined.

Wrap each dumpling in a piece of dough, making sure to seal the edges.

Fry the dumplings in the oil until golden brown on both sides.

Drain the dumplings on paper towels.
