Ukrainian Fernbrake Pilaf Casserole
A hearty casserole combining creamy pilaf with fernbrake and ukrainian flavors. A satisfying, comforting meal for any time of the year.
Ingredients
- ●1 cup, sliced Fernbrake
- ●2 cups, cooked Creamy Pilaf
- ●1 pound, sliced Ukrainian Sausage
- ●1 medium, chopped Onion
- ●3 cloves, minced Garlic
- ●2 tablespoons Butter
- ●to taste Salt
- ●to taste Black Pepper
- ●1/4 cup Chopped Fresh Dill

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

Cook the Ukrainian sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

In the same skillet, add butter and sauté the sliced fernbrake until tender, about 5 minutes.

Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and continue to cook until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Stir in cooked pilaf, cooked Ukrainian sausage, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Transfer the pilaf mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish and top with chopped fresh dill.

Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is lightly browned and the casserole is heated through.
