Uruguayan Beef Skewers
A classic Uruguayan recipe featuring marinated beef skewers grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
- ●1 pound beef (skewerable cut, e.g. sirloin or ribeye)cut into 1-inch cubes
- ●1/4 cup soy sauceor to taste
- ●2 tablespoons brown sugaror to taste
- ●1 teaspoon garlic powderor to taste
- ●1/2 teaspoon paprikaor to taste
- ●1/2 teaspoon saltor to taste
- ●1/4 teaspoon black pepperor to taste
- ●2 tablespoons vegetable oilfor brushing skewers

Preheat grill to medium-high heat (400°F/200°C).

In a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Add beef cubes to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.

Thread beef cubes onto skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.

Brush skewers with vegetable oil and season with salt and pepper.

Grill skewers for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, or until beef reaches a safe internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
