German Pork Skewers
A classic German dish, these pork skewers are marinated in a mixture of traditional spices and roasted to perfection.
Ingredients
- β1 pound pork shoulder, cut into 1-inch cubespreferably with the fat intact
- β2 tablespoons olive oil
- β1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- β1 tablespoon brown sugar
- β1 teaspoon dried oregano
- β1 teaspoon dried thyme
- β1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- β1/2 teaspoon salt
- β1/4 teaspoon pepper
- β10-12 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, oregano, thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Add the pork cubes to the marinade and mix until coated.

Thread the marinated pork onto the wooden skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.

Place the skewers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Roast the skewers in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through and slightly charred.
