Italian-Style Beef Burger
A twist on the classic burger, this Italian-style beef burger features a flavorful patty topped with mozzarella cheese, marinara sauce, and fresh basil.
Ingredients

- ●1/2 cup Bread crumbsplain, unseasoned
- ●1/4 cup Grated Parmesan cheesefreshly grated
- ●2 tablespoons Olive oilfor cooking
- ●1 teaspoon Saltfor seasoning
- ●1/2 teaspoon Freshly ground black pepperfor seasoning
- ●1/4 cup Marinara saucehomemade or store-bought
- ●2 slices Mozzarella cheesefresh or buffalo-style
- ●4 leaves Fresh basil leaveschopped

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix well with your hands until just combined. Do not overmix.

3. Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball. Flatten each ball slightly into a patty.

4. Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until browned.

5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the patties reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).

6. While the burgers are baking, toast the buns on the oven rack.

7. Assemble the burgers by spreading marinara sauce on the bottom bun, followed by a cooked patty, a slice of mozzarella cheese, and a few leaves of fresh basil. Top with the top bun.
