Middle Eastern Wheat Harees
A traditional Middle Eastern meal of wheat and harees, slow-cooked in the oven.

- β2 cups harees
- β1 cup wheat
- β4 cups water
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β2 tablespoons olive oil
- β1 teaspoon salt
- β1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- β1 teaspoon cumin

Instructions

Preheat oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

Rinse the harees and wheat, and soak them in water for at least 4 hours.

Drain and rinse the harees and wheat, then combine them in a large bowl.

Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and cumin to the bowl.
