Northern Thai-Style Mozzarella Bowl
A twist on traditional Thai dishes, this recipe combines the creaminess of mozzarella with the bold flavors of Northern Thai cuisine.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Mozzarella cheeseshredded
- β2 tablespoons Thai red curry paste
- β1 cup Coconut milk
- β1/4 cup Fresh basil leaves
- β2 Fresh chilies
- β1/4 cup Fried shallots
- β1 cup Rice or noodles
- β2 tablespoons Northern-style sauce (or substitute with fish sauce and lime juice)
- β Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large bowl, combine shredded mozzarella cheese, Thai red curry paste, coconut milk, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until well combined.

Add fresh basil leaves, chilies, and fried shallots to the bowl, and mix until they are evenly distributed.

Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with additional mozzarella cheese if desired.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

While the cheese is baking, cook rice or noodles according to package instructions.

To assemble the bowls, place a scoop of cooked rice or noodles in the bottom of a bowl, followed by the Northern Thai-style mozzarella mixture.
