Grilled Bao Tofu
A simple and delicious Chinese-inspired dish made with crispy grilled tofu and soft bao buns. Perfect for a quick and easy meal.
Ingredients
- β1 block tofuextra-firm
- β4-6 bao bunsstore-bought or homemade
- β2 tbsp soy sauce
- β1 tbsp honey
- β1 tbsp rice vinegar
- β1 tsp sesame oil
- β1 tsp garlic powder
- βto taste black pepper

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Cut the tofu into small cubes and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Drizzle the tofu with sesame oil and sprinkle with garlic powder. Toss to coat.

Bake the tofu in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until crispy on the outside and golden brown.

While the tofu is baking, mix together the soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar in a small bowl.

Once the tofu is done, remove it from the oven and brush with the soy sauce mixture.

Split the bao buns in half and toast until lightly browned.

Assemble the bao buns by placing a few pieces of the grilled tofu inside each bun.
