Traditional British Lamb Shepherd's Pie
A classic British dish made with ground lamb, roasted vegetables, and topped with a crispy mashed potato crust.
Ingredients
- β500g Ground Lamb
- β2 medium Onion
- β3 medium Carrot
- β200g Peas
- β2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- β4 large Mashed Potatoes
- β50g Butter
- β Salt and Pepper

Preheat oven to 180Β°C (350Β°F).

In a large pan over medium heat, cook the ground lamb until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

Add the onion, carrot, and peas to the pan and cook until the vegetables are tender.

Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Transfer the lamb mixture to a 20x20cm baking dish.

Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash with butter.

Spread the mashed potatoes evenly over the top of the lamb mixture.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown.
