Tandoori Lamb Skewers
A classic Indian dish of marinated lamb skewers roasted to perfection in the oven. Perfect for a special occasion or a flavorful dinner.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds Lamb shoulder, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
- β1 cup Plain Greek yogurtchilled
- β2 tablespoons Lemon juice
- β2 tablespoons Ginger paste
- β2 cloves Garlic, minced
- β2 teaspoons Garam masala
- β1 teaspoon Cumin powder
- β1 teaspoon Coriander powder
- β1/2 teaspoon Red chili powder
- β1/2 teaspoon Salt
- β2 tablespoons Oil for brushing

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

In a large bowl, whisk together yogurt, lemon juice, ginger paste, garlic, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt.

Add the lamb cubes to the marinade and mix well to coat.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Thread the marinated lamb cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.

Brush the skewers with oil and season with salt.

Place the skewers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and roast in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes.

Rotate the skewers halfway through the cooking time.

Remove the skewers from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes.
