Japanese-Style Roasted Salmon with Citrus Glaze
A delicate and flavorful kaiseki-inspired dish featuring roasted salmon glazed with a sweet and tangy citrus sauce.
Ingredients

- β2 tbsp freshly squeezed orange juiceabout 30 ml
- β2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juiceabout 30 ml
- β1 tsp honeyabout 5 ml
- β1 tsp soy sauceabout 5 ml
- β1 tsp brown sugarabout 5 ml
- β1 sprig fresh thyme leaves
- β2 tbsp olive oilabout 30 ml

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

Place the salmon fillet on the prepared baking sheet.

Drizzle the olive oil over the salmon, then sprinkle with thyme leaves.

Season the salmon with salt and pepper to taste.

Roast the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until cooked through.

While the salmon is cooking, prepare the citrus glaze by whisking together the orange juice, lemon juice, honey, soy sauce, and brown sugar in a small bowl.

Remove the salmon from the oven and brush the citrus glaze over the top of the fish.

Return the salmon to the oven and continue roasting for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the glaze is caramelized and sticky.
