Spanish-Style Roasted Patatas Bravas
A spicy and flavorful Spanish-inspired dish featuring roasted potatoes in a bold tomato sauce.
Ingredients
- β2 pounds Patatas (Potatoes)preferably Spanish or sweet potatoes
- β1/4 cup Olive oilfor roasting
- β1 teaspoon Smoked paprikaoptional, for added smokiness
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β1/2 teaspoon Chili flakesoptional, for added heat
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
- β1 cup Tomato saucehomemade or store-bought
- β1/4 cup Red pepper flakesfor garnish

Preheat the oven to 425Β°F (220Β°C).

Peel and cube the potatoes into 1-inch pieces.

Place the potatoes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with smoked paprika, garlic, chili flakes, salt, and black pepper.

Toss to coat the potatoes evenly.

Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until tender and golden brown.

While the potatoes are roasting, heat the tomato sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.

Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for 5-7 minutes or until heated through.

Once the potatoes are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.

Transfer the potatoes to the saucepan with the tomato sauce and toss to coat.
