Venezuelan Beef Casserole
A hearty and flavorful casserole inspired by Venezuelan cuisine, featuring tender beef and a rich roasted sauce.

- β1 can (14.5 oz) Chopped tomatoescanned

- β1/4 teaspoon Black pepperto taste
- β1 cup Cheddar cheeseshredded
- β1 cup Breadcrumbsplain breadcrumbs

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

Once the beef is browned, add the chopped onion and minced garlic and cook until the onion is translucent.

Stir in the tomato paste, chopped tomatoes, roasted peppers, oregano, cumin, salt, and black pepper.

Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

While the beef mixture is cooking, prepare the casserole dish by sprinkling a layer of breadcrumbs on the bottom.

Transfer the beef mixture to the prepared casserole dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
