Spanish Sea Bass Paella
A traditional Spanish dish originating from the Valencia region, made with sea bass and paella rice, perfect for a dinner meal.
Ingredients
- ●4 Sea Bass FilletsFresh and skin removed
- ●1 1/2 cups Paella RiceUncooked
- ●1 tsp Smoked PaprikaSpanish smoked paprika
- ●3 cloves GarlicMinced
- ●2 tbsp Olive OilExtra virgin
- ●1 cup TomatoDiced
- ●2 cups WaterFor cooking rice
- ●1 tsp Valenciana Spice BlendOptional, for added flavor

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Rinse the sea bass fillets and pat them dry with paper towels.

Season the sea bass with salt and pepper.

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the sea bass fillets and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, until cooked through.

While the sea bass is cooking, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil in the skillet over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add the diced tomato and cook for 2-3 minutes, until softened.

Add the paella rice, smoked paprika, and Valenciana spice blend (if using). Cook for 1-2 minutes, until the rice is lightly toasted.

Add the water to the skillet and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet with a lid, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, until the rice is cooked and the liquid has been absorbed.

To serve, place the sea bass fillets on top of the paella rice and garnish with fresh herbs, if desired.
