Seared Perilla Flatbread
A crispy Korean-inspired flatbread topped with seared perilla seeds and a hint of spice.

- β1/2 cup Perilla seedsToasted
- β1 sheet FlatbreadPre-made or homemade
- β1 tsp Korean chili flakesOptional
- β2 tbsp Vegetable oilFor pan-frying
- βpinch SaltTo taste

Instructions

Preheat a pan over medium heat.

Add vegetable oil and swirl to coat.

Season the perilla seeds with salt and Korean chili flakes (if using).

Add the flatbread to the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes or until crispy.

Add the perilla seeds on top of the flatbread.

Cook for an additional 30 seconds to 1 minute or until the perilla seeds are lightly seared.
