Pan-Seared Algerian Confit Chicken with Tomato
A flavorful North African-inspired dish featuring tender confit chicken, pan-seared to perfection and served with a fresh tomato sauce.
Ingredients
- β 1 lb confit chickenpreferably homemade or store-bought
- β 2 tbsp olive oiloptional
- β2 1 medium tomatochopped
- β 1/4 cup pcharredchopped fresh
- β optional: salt and pepper

1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

2. Add the confit chicken and sear until golden brown on both sides, about 5-7 minutes.

3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

4. Reduce heat to medium and add the chopped tomato.

5. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the tomato is tender and lightly caramelized, about 10 minutes.

6. Stir in the chopped pcharred and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
