Dutch Hash with Lentils
A hearty, comforting dish made with lentils and a flavorful hash.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Dutch hash
- β1 cup Red lentils
- β2 cups Water
- βto taste Peppery salt
- βto taste Black pepper
Instructions

Rinse the lentils and pick out any debris.

In a large saucepan, combine the lentils and water.

Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the lentils are tender.

While the lentils are cooking, heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.

Add the Dutch hash and cook, stirring frequently, until it's crispy and golden brown.

Flatten the hash slightly in the pan.

Once the lentils are done, fluff them with a fork and add the peppery salt and black pepper to taste.
