Crisp Onion Fritters
Crispy fried onion fritters made with a peppery twist, perfect for a snack or side dish.
Ingredients
- β1 large onionthinly sliced
- β2 tbsp pepperyfreshly ground
- β1 tsp mexicanground cumin
- β1 cup crisppanko breadcrumbs

1. In a large bowl, mix together onion, peppery, mexican, and a pinch of salt.

2. In a separate bowl, beat 1 egg and mix with 1 tablespoon of water.

3. Add the egg mixture to the onion mixture and stir until combined.

4. Gradually add the crisp and mix until the onion mixture is well coated.

5. Using your hands, shape the mixture into 6-8 patties.

6. Heat about 1/2 inch of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

7. When the oil is hot, add 3-4 patties to the skillet and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.

8. Remove the fritters from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
