Smoked Lamb Tagine
A traditional North African stew originating from Morocco, made with smoked lamb, aromatic spices, and dried fruits.
Ingredients
- β1.5 lbs Smoked Lamb Shoulder
- β1 large Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β1 cup Dried Prunes
- β1/4 cup Chopped Fresh Parsley
- β2 tsp Cumin
- β1 tsp Cinnamon
- β1 tsp Paprika
- β1 tsp Salt
- β1 tsp Black Pepper
- β2 tbsp Olive Oil
Instructions

Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the smoked lamb and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the dried prunes, cumin, cinnamon, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Stir to combine, then add 1 cup of water.

Bring to a simmer, cover, and transfer to the oven.

Bake at 300Β°F (150Β°C) for 2.5 hours, or until the lamb is tender.

Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
