Jamaican Beef Stew
A hearty and flavorful stew made with tender beef and a blend of Jamaican spices.
Ingredients

- β1 tablespoon piquantadjust to taste
- β1 teaspoon jamaican seasoningstore-bought or homemade
- β1 medium onion
- β2 cloves garlic
- β2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- β2 cups beef broth
- β1 cup water
- β1 tablespoon brown sugar
- β2 tablespoons tomato paste

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Remove beef from pot and set aside.

Add onion and garlic to pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add flour and cook for 1 minute.

Gradually add broth and water, whisking constantly.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour.
