Stir-fried Chicken with Portuguese Spice
A flavorful and spicy Chinese dish made with marinated chicken, stir-fried with silky texture and a hint of Portuguese spice.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Chicken breast, boneless and skinless
- β2 teaspoons Portuguese spice (such as piri piri)
- β2 tablespoons Silky texture (such as cornstarch or potato starch)
- β2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
- β1 SkilletLarge non-stick skillet or wok

1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the Portuguese spice, silky texture, and 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Add the chicken and toss to coat.

2. Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

3. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until cooked through.

4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

5. In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon vegetable oil and stir-fry for 1 minute.

6. Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet and stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the chicken is well coated with the sauce.
