Greek Tiropita
A classic Greek savory cheese pie, flaky and flavorful. Perfect as a snack or light lunch.
Ingredients
- β1 package tiropita doughavailable at most Greek markets
- β1 block feta cheesecrumbly and salty
- β2 piquant peppersadds a bit of heat
- β1 tsp smoky paprikasmoky flavor
- β1 tsp greek herbsdried oregano and thyme
- β1/2 tsp saltto taste
- β1/2 tsp black pepperto taste

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Roll out tiropita dough to a thickness of 1/8 inch.

In a bowl, mix crumbled feta cheese, chopped piquant peppers, smoked paprika, Greek herbs, salt, and black pepper.

Spread the feta mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a 1/2 inch border around the edges.

Fold the edges of the dough up over the filling, pressing gently to seal.

Brush the top of the tiropita with a little water and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.

Serve warm, sliced into wedges.
