Moroccan Lamb Tagine
A classic Moroccan dish made with tender lamb and flavorful spices, cooked to perfection in a traditional clay pot.
Ingredients
- β1 pound lamb keftapreferably fresh
- β2 tablespoons olive oilfor cooking
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β2 teaspoons cuminground
- β1 teaspoon corianderground
- β1/2 teaspoon cinnamonground
- β1/2 teaspoon saltto taste
- β1/4 teaspoon black pepperto taste
- β1/4 cup chopped fresh parsleyfor garnish
Instructions

Heat oil in a large clay pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add cumin, coriander, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.

Add lamb kefta and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add 1 cup of water to the pot and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 20-25 minutes or until lamb is tender.

Garnish with parsley and serve over couscous or rice.
