Toor Dal and Onigiri Indian Fusion
A unique fusion of Indian and Japanese flavors, combining the comforting taste of toor dal with the simplicity of onigiri.
Ingredients

- ●1 medium onionchopped
- ●2 inches gingergrated
- ●3 cloves garlicminced
- ●2 tbsp saudi arabian ghee or oil
- ●to taste salt
- ●2 cups water

Heat the ghee or oil in a pan over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.

Add the grated ginger and sauté for another minute.

Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.

Add the toor dal, salt, and water. Mix well.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.

While the dal is cooking, prepare the onigiri by mixing cooked Japanese rice with salt to taste.

Shape the rice mixture into small triangles or balls.

Once the dal is cooked, serve it with the onigiri on the side or mix it into the rice mixture.
