Pungent Hunan Mein
A spicy and savory stir-fry dish made with pungent lo mein noodles, hunan peppers, and chinese vegetables.
Ingredients
- β1 package (8 oz) Lo Mein Noodles
- β2 Hunan Pepperssliced
- β1 cup Pungent Vegetableschopped (such as Chinese broccoli)
- β3 cloves Chinese Garlicminced
- β1 cup Pinto Beanscooked
- β2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- β1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
- β1 tsp Hunan Spicestore-bought or homemade
Instructions

Cook Lo Mein Noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add Hunan peppers and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add pungent vegetables and cook until tender.

Add Chinese garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add cooked Pinto Beans and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.

Add cooked Lo Mein Noodles and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes.

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, and Hunan spice.

Pour sauce over noodles and vegetables and stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes.
