German Lentil Stew
A hearty and comforting German-inspired lentil stew, perfect for a cold winter's day. Made with a variety of vegetables and spices, this stew is a true delight.
Ingredients
- ●1 cup croatian lentilsRinsed and drained
- ●1 pound velvety stew meatOptional, can be omitted for vegetarian version
- ●1 medium onionChopped
- ●2 medium carrotSliced
- ●2 stalks celerySliced
- ●2 cloves garlicMinced
- ●2 tablespoons tomato pasteOptional
- ●4 cups quenched vegetable brothHomemade or store-bought
Instructions

Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Add onion, carrot, and celery, and sauté until the vegetables are tender.

Add lentils, stew meat (if using), and tomato paste (if using). Cook for 1-2 minutes.
