Cheesy Chuck Bowl

Season the chuck roast with salt and black pepper.

Heat a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sear the chuck roast until browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Transfer the roast to the preheated oven and cook for 2 1/2 hours, or until tender.

While the roast cooks, heat a tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
