Creamy Shrimp Malabar
A rich and flavorful Indian-inspired shrimp dish with a creamy malaysian-inspired sauce, served with a gratin crust. Perfect for a special occasion or a romantic dinner.
Ingredients
- β12 oz Shrimppeeled and deveined
- β2 tbsp Quick Indian Curry Pasteadjust to taste
- β1 cup Malaysian Creamsee notes
- β1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheesefor gratin topping
- β2 tbsp Unsalted Butterfor gratin crust
- β1/4 cup Fresh Cilantrochopped, for garnish
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black Pepper

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Season the shrimp with salt and pepper.

In a large skillet, heat the butter over medium-high heat.

Add the shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the curry paste and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Pour in the malaysian cream and bring to a simmer.

Reduce the heat to low and let sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Stir in the parmesan cheese until melted.

Transfer the shrimp to a baking dish and spoon the sauce over the top.

Top with a layer of grated parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of chopped cilantro.

Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown and bubbly.
