Moroccan Mechoui Beef Tagine
A hearty and flavorful slow-cooked beef stew originating from Morocco. This dish is perfect for special occasions and serves a crowd.
Ingredients
- β2 pounds Beef brisketCut into large chunks
- β2 tablespoons Olive oil
- β1 large OnionChopped
- β3 cloves GarlicMinced
- β2 teaspoons Cumin
- β1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- β1/2 teaspoon Paprika
- β1/2 teaspoon Salt
- β1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
- β1/4 cup Chopped fresh parsley

Heat the oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the garlic, cumin, cinnamon, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.

Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the beef broth and bring to a boil. Cover the pot and transfer to the oven.

Braise the meat for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until tender.

Remove the pot from the oven and stir in the chopped parsley.
