Bistek Tagalog
A classic Filipino dish made with thinly sliced beef, onions, and a savory sauce, served with steamed rice.
Ingredients

- β2 onionthinly sliced
- β2 stalks celerychopped
- β1/4 cup soy sauce
- β2 tbsp patis (fish sauce)
- βto taste ground black pepper
- β2 tbsp quick vinegar

Marinate the beef in a mixture of soy sauce, patis, and ground black pepper for at least 30 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until translucent.

Add the marinated beef to the pan and cook until browned on both sides.

Add the chopped celery and cook for 1 minute.

Pour in the quick vinegar and stir to combine.

Simmer the sauce for 5-7 minutes or until the beef is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
