Turkish Manti (Stuffed Dumplings)
A traditional Turkish dish of steamed dumplings filled with spiced meat, served with a dollop of yogurt and a sprinkle of paprika. Enjoy as a snack or light meal.
Ingredients
- β500g Ground meat
- β1 medium, finely chopped Onion
- β1 tsp each Spices (cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper)
- β2 cups, for dumpling dough Flour
- β1 cup Water
- β1 cup, for serving Yogurt
- β1 tsp, for garnish Paprika
- β1/4 cup, for garnish (optional) Turkish delight

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground meat, chopped onion, and spices. Mix well.

Knead the flour and water to form a dough. Divide into small balls.

Roll out each ball into a thin circle. Place a tablespoon of the meat mixture in the center.

Fold the dough over the filling to form a triangle or a square shape. Press the edges together to seal.

Repeat with the remaining dough and filling.

Place the dumplings in a steamer basket, leaving some space between each one.

Steam the dumplings over boiling water for 10-12 minutes, or until cooked through.

Serve the manti hot with a dollop of yogurt and a sprinkle of paprika. Garnish with Turkish delight, if desired.
