Crispy Middle Eastern Kibbeh Patties
A crispy, flavorful take on traditional Middle Eastern kibbeh patties, made with a mix of ground meat and bulgur.
Ingredients
- β1 lb Ground beef80/20 lean to fat ratio
- β1 cup Bulgurfine or medium grind
- β1/2 cup Onionfinely chopped
- β1 tsp Spicespaprika, salt, black pepper
- β1/4 cup Olive oilfor frying
- β1/4 cup Yogurtfor serving

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bulgur, onion, and spices. Mix well with your hands until just combined.

Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Using your hands, shape the mixture into patties, about 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm) in diameter and 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) thick. You should end up with around 8-10 patties.

Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add 4-5 patties to the skillet and fry until crispy and golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Transfer the cooked patties to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat with the remaining patties.

Bake the patties in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until cooked through.

Serve the patties hot with a dollop of yogurt on top.
