Croatian Fried Fritters

Ingredients
- β1 3/4 cups 250g all-purpose flour
- β1/2 cup 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- β1/2 cup 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- β1 1 large egg
- β1/2 cup 1/2 cup chopped peanutsoptional
- β1/4 cup 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- βto taste Fritter seasoning
- βto taste Salt
- βas needed Water

Preheat oil in a deep frying pan to 180Β°C (350Β°F).

In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and fritter seasoning.

In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, egg, and chopped peanuts (if using).

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough until it is smooth and pliable.

Divide the dough into small balls, about the size of a small egg.

Flatten each ball into a disk shape.

Heat the oil in the frying pan and carefully place a few fritters into the oil.
