German Beef Hash
A hearty German-inspired dish made with beef, potatoes, and onions.
Ingredients
- β1 lb (450g) ground beef beef80/20 lean to fat ratio
- β1 large onion, diced onionabout 2 cups
- β2 large potatoes, peeled and diced potatoabout 3 cups
- β2 cups hash browns hashhomemade or store-bought
- βto taste salt
- βto taste black pepper
- β1 cup beef broth beef brothyou can use store-bought beef broth or make your own

1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

2. Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the skillet and swirl it around to coat the bottom.

3. Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook until it's translucent, about 5 minutes.

4. Add the diced potatoes to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, or until they start to brown.

5. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

6. Cook the beef until it's browned, about 5-7 minutes.

7. Add the hash browns to the skillet and stir to combine with the beef and potatoes.
